Installation
Get started in under 2 minutes with these simple steps
Download & Extract
Download the ZIP file and extract it to a permanent location. Keep the folder — Chrome needs it to run the extension.
Open Extensions Page
Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/ in your address bar.
Enable Developer Mode
Toggle the "Developer mode" switch in the top-right corner of the extensions page.
Load Extension
Click "Load unpacked" and select the fourtranslate folder you extracted in step 1.
Start Translating
Visit any Chinese website and see instant translations. Toggle on/off anytime via the extension icon.
Chrome will show a warning banner for extensions installed outside the Web Store. This is completely normal and safe — the extension runs entirely locally with no external connections.
